How To Create a Fiverr Gig?
Gig or Gigs means services you are offering on the Fiverr platform. Any buyer before placing an Order first they will read your gigs. So when you make you must know of gigs. As a new seller, you can create different types of 7 gigs for selling.
The most important factors before creating a Gig are:
- Keyword Research
- Competitor Analysis
Keyword Research & Competitor Analysis For a Fiverr Gig?
First of all, enter your Primary Keyword/main keyword in the Fiverr search bar.
After entering they will show some related gigs on SERP, you must have studied these gigs. In gigs, you will see some important elements like titles, descriptions, and search tags that will relate to specific gigs. after studying gigs, some ideas or Keywords came to your mind.
Now select some keywords and search them separately on the Fiverr search bar. They will again show you some gigs and also you will see the Total results in the top left corner of the page. Here you will guess how much competition on your keywords(query). At the time of search words on the search bar, Fiverr will give you some auto-suggested keywords you can also consider those words. So first set some criteria for doing Keyword research like low, medium & high levels for competitors.
Also, you can set some criteria for search volume. You can find the search volume of those keywords by using an Extension as well as manually checking the total number of orders on Fiverr’s first page and how many gigs have the order in the queue.
Here you can see the results after using the extension on Fiverr.
You will see at the bottom Orders, Favorites, and Reviews.
The order represents the number of orders in the queue.
- Fiverr shows 48 gigs on the first page. If competitors are fewer and the number of orders in the queue is excess, then you can consider those keywords for low competition.
- If competitors are more and the number of orders in the queue is also excess, then you can consider those keywords for high competition.
- If both competitor and queue order are level, then you can consider those keywords for average/ moderate competition.
- For Example,
Keywords Criteria | |
Low Level | 1000 to 3000 |
Medium Level | 3000 to 5000 |
High Level | 5000+ |
Now shortlist at least 15 to 20 relevant keywords in the Excel Sheet for your ease before creating a Fiverr Gig. Because those relevant keywords you will use in the gig title, description, and search tags. Below you can see the example of shortlisted keywords.
Important Elements Of Gig:
1: Overview
- Title
- Categories (subcategory + services type)
- Gig Metadata ( industry expertise + Languages)
- Search Tags
2: Scope & Pricing
- Services/Packages
- Extra Services
3: Description & FAQs
4: Requirements
5: Gallery
- Video
- Gig Images
- Documents
6: Publish
- Fiverr Test
Gig Overview Section:
Title:
This is the first thing that buyers will see at the top of your gig listing. Make sure to keep it precise, and unique, and also use Primary Keyword in it. You should add at least 3 keywords(Primary + Secondary) in your title. These can be low or high-competition keywords. The title limit is 60 characters but if you can select 50 to 60 characters that is more than enough for your title because Fiver itself suggests Just Perfect! At 60 characters. however, shorter titles sell better.
Once you make a title, after publishing the gig you can change it from your gig title but you can’t change it from the URL of your gig. So choose the title after studying or analyzing other competitors because Fiverr algorithms understand URL titles, which can be beneficial for ranking.
Categories and Subcategory:
Now click the Category drop-down. Here you people will select relevant categories and subcategories of your skills and choose your service type. You must choose here skills in which you are an expert don’t select a random option. This helps buyers find you in the filtered searches for service. Above you can see an example of a relevant field.
Example:
Main Category: Digital Marketing
Subcategory: SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Services Type: Keyword Research
Gig metadata:

After all this procedure now click on the save button in the lower right corner of the page. This will take you to the Scope & Pricing section.
Pricing Section:

You can use a maximum of 100 characters in the package description, and make sure to be brief & clear. below this, you will see the related terms of your services you can select according to your skill level like Keywords, competitors, audit report, action plan, etc.
The three packages have a different name:

Once you establish yourself in the market, you can adjust your prices based on your experience and skills.
